It may seem a little bit over the top to get a cake to celebrate a second-year business anniversary. But this is something really to be celebrated.
Now, let me be vulnerable for a minute here, and tell you that I thought I would give up on this business in January and February of this year.
I think one of the reasons for that was that our first year was driven by enthusiasm, excitement, and experimentation, under the comfort that the first year of business is really hard and you won’t have everything worked out. It’s more about trying to find your audience trying to find what you want to offer, and that was exactly what we did in the first year.
As we went to the second year I felt like we hadn’t got everything worked out (we hadn’t).
I put a lot of pressure on myself that everything had to be absolutely perfect in the second year. I should have worked out exactly what I wanted to do and how I was going to do it. And I should already be super successful (whatever that means).
So, as I said, in January and February I almost gave up.
And I’m so glad that I didn’t.
Because the second half of this year has been amazing. I’ve worked with some amazing clients. I’ve worked on some dream projects. And I’ve reframed my idea of success.
The best is yet to come.
Thank you for supporting Two Shoes Creative, I really appreciate it.
